We are proud to administer Learn to Skate USA, the only program endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey, and U.S. Speedskating.
Learn to Skate USA is a progressive curriculum that develops ALL skaters.  

Classes are organized by age specific levels to teach the "fun"damentals of skating. 

Classes are run in a series of six week series.

Winter program

Our Winter Learn to Skate program start dates:
January 6th  (Wednesday Classes)
January 9th (Saturday Classes)
Registration will be available here mid- December.

dates of our current program

Fall 2 Learn to Skate Group Lessons:
WEDNESDAY - Begins 10/28-12/9
(Classes will be offered at 5:30pm, 6:00pm, 6:40pm and 7:10pm) 
SATURDAY - Begins 10/31-12/12
(Classes will be offered at 12:30pm, 1:00pm and 1:30pm )

cost

$150  (snowplow classes, basic 1-4, hockey & Adult)
$165 for Basic 5,6 & Freestyle classes

important information about the program

  • Skaters will be on the ice for 30 minutes of instruction each week
  • Masks are strongly encouraged by all participants
  • We recommend tots in our group classes to be at least 3 years old
  • HELMETS are mandatory for all Snowplow Skaters & strongly recommended for all beginners.  
  • Skaters must bring their own helmet.
  • Skaters MUST be registered day before classes begin - WALK-INS will not be accepted at this time.
  • Registered skaters will receive 6 public skating pass credits on their DASH account. (For use during the 6-week series)
  • Participants must register with Learn to Skate USA.   Visit learntoskateusa.com (yearly)

First time participants should register for either Snowplow Sam 1, Basic 1, or Adult Beginner (depending on age).  
If you have a unique situation (i.e. returning after long break) and are unsure which level is best, please email Amy Griffith fsdirector@hollydell.com to discuss best placement.
